Helpful Presentation Tips

  • PowerPoint 16:9 ratio
  • Headings should be Arial font, color black, and size 49
  • Body font should be Arial font, color black, and size 24
  • A disclosure slide is not required for this conference. There will be a conference disclosure slide produced
  • Copyrighted images are not permitted
  • Tables and images should be large enough for audience viewing
  • A good rule of thumb is one slide per minute
    • For example, a 20-minute presentation would have a maximum of 20 slides

Please make the last one or two slides of your presentation a summary of the most important take home points for attendees — practical tips that can be implemented immediately, upcoming research, etc. Additionally, we request you include a slide of your references.

IMPORTANT — The template provides instructions for protecting your content. Please use the symbols specificed in the document to communicate with attendees what they can and cannot share

Travel

We ask all faculty to use Discount Travel for your travel arrangements. This will allow us to “direct bill” your travel expenses to the conference.

Contact Steve Crandall, Travel Coordinator, at Discount Travel, at (904) 641-4444, extension 201 or scrandall@discounttvl.com to make your reservations.

Please note: We ask that all speakers have finalized and booked their travel by Wednesday, October 23.

Please note: We will not be able to accept re-prints of articles as additions to, or in place of, your handout.

Please cite any relevant articles on a reference list at the end of your talk.

Please provide us with original copies of your handout(s) (in the native PPT file if you are using Powerpoint, NOT a PDF) and bibliography for inclusion in the syllabus no later than November 18, 2024.

New this year for all faculty, can please proceed to the Name Badge Counters in the Maryland Ballroom Foyer to check-in and pick-up your name badge and respective ribbons.

All faculty should report to the speaker ready room located in the Chesapeake Room at least three hours before their scheduled presentation time. Faculty will be able to prepare, rehearse, and finalize presentations before submitting to the IT staff in the Speaker Ready Room. Any presentation updates after the due date (November 18) will need to be made onsite in the speaker ready room.

The Speaker Ready Room hours are as follows:
